Almost not spoken yet is based on Hesselholdt & Mejlvang’s solo exhibition at Horsens Art Museum in 2025, while the publication’s texts also offer perspectives on various aspects of the artist duo’s wider practice.

“Hesselholdt & Mejlvang transform the flag’s traditionally fixed and nationalist connotations into an aesthetic and conceptual tool that responds critically and reflectively to the political and social conditions of the present. The flags appear not merely as visual markers, but as artistic interventions that open up new interpretations and have the potential to initiate change”.
