Under the Same Moon inaugurated at Sdr. Omme Closed Prison

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of Under the Same Moon, a permanent integrated art project for Sdr. Omme Closed Prison, Denmark. The official inauguration will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026. Sdr. Omme is Denmark’s largest prison.

The project is commissioned by the Danish Prison and Probation Service and was awarded through a competition issued by the Danish Arts Foundation. The artworks are integrated across key locations within the prison complex, including entrance areas, residential buildings, outdoor spaces, and the community house, establishing a cohesive visual framework throughout the site.

Under the Same Moon is realized using a range of durable materials, including graphic concrete, brass plates with integrated LED light, ceramic bricks, and handmade glass. As part of the project, a coloring book featuring motifs from the artworks has been produced as a gift for visiting children.
